The import contact feature allows you to batch import a large number of contacts from an existing CRM or source into the contact manager.

IMPORTANT

Do not alter the columns of the exported data. Import templates use the exact column name & position to match up and import the data. If you delete/move columns, the import will fail

How To Import Contacts

  1. Import To: you have the optiont to import data as clients or prospects. Use this selector to choose either client or prospect as the type for import.
  2. Import Type: This selector lets you choose the type of template that you will be importing. This is the source type for the original contact data. For example, if your data is coming from Outlook, choose outlook as your import type. A variety of templates have already been built. The current templates are:
    1. Act Contacts - for data exported from Act
    2. Act Company – for vendor data exported from Act
    3. Generic Templates – these are xls templates. Type in your data, then import the file.
    4. Gorilla - for data exported from Bill Good’s Gorilla Marketing system
    5. Investigo – for data exported from Investigo
    6. LaserApp – for data exported from LaserApp
