At the top of the Account Wizard, you will see the title bar. The title bar displays basic information about the submission that is active. The components are:

  1. Reference #: the number is a unique id number assigned to each submission. The reference # shows in the title bar on every transaction.
    1. The first two letters indicate which portal the transaction belongs to: bf for Berthel Fisher & Company Financial Services, sf for SM&R and bp for BFC Planning.
    2. Thefirst four digits of the reference # represent the specific user who created the transaction in the system.
  2. Create New Account: This link can be used to start a new account wizard submission.
  3. Status: Indicates the status of the transaction. Detailed descriptions of each status are available in this Appendix: Account Wizard Submission Status Types. A status displays once the submission is saved.
  4. Account Title: displays the Account Title as entered it was entered on the Account Information page. This displays only after the submission is saved.
