Customizing the Buttons in Your Office
- Click on the “Quick Edit” button at the bottom of your Office.
. - On the right side, you will see a drop-down menu. Click on the down arrow and scroll until you see DB Button1 [Figure 6]. You can choose from DB Button 1 through DB Button 18. Choose the button that you want to assign a shortcut.
- Next, in the “Item Title” field, type in the name of the shortcut. This will be the text displayed on the button in your office.
- Click on the radio button (A radio button is a circular option button that allows the user to choose only one of a predefined set of options. See example to the right) [Figure 5]
- Click on the Select button. This will open the post link window.
- Click on the drop down arrow and change it from “Workflow” to “URL”. This changes the window shown in Figure 6 to the window shown in Figure 7.
- Type in the web address for your shortcut in the “URL” field that starts with http:// - please note that the http:// is required.
- If the site is a secure site, you will need to change this to https://
- Once you have typed in the web address, click on the Post Link button. This will take you back to the Quick Edit screen [Figure 6]
The target lets you choose how the link is opened. If you leave it blank, it will open in Berthel One. We recommend typing “_blank “ in the target field. This will open your link in a new window.
Once everything has been added, your final step is to click on the Publish icon. Please refer to [Figure 6-7] to view the publish button.
To add additional shortcut buttons, simply repeat the process, choosing a different DB Button # each time.
