Make your account titles count. You might need them again. Be thoughtful as you create new account titles, you’ll be glad when you need to use them again. The more specific that you can be, the easier it will be to identify and choose the right one when you are presented with multiple account titles for each client. Here are a few samples:


Examples of Good TitlesBad TitleWhy?
Joseph Z. Smith, IndividualJoe Smith
  • You may have multiple Joe Smiths and/or multiple accounts for this Joe Smith
  • Use Joe’s full name and the registration type in the title to better identify it.
Joseph Z. Smith, IRASmith IRA
  • You might have many clients named Smith with IRAs.
  • Naming this Smith IRA makes it hard to tell which client you are loading data for as you select it.
Joseph Z. & Julia P. Smith Trust, Dtd 7/1/2013Smith Trust
  • You might have multiple trusts for multiple clients named Smith or multiple trusts for the Joseph & Julie Smith. Including the date or other identifying data makes it easier to tell which trust account the title is for.

 

OPTION 2: Load Existing Contact (Figure 3)

This function loads the information into the account wizard for an individual contact, not for the account registration. This will load the contact’s details.
