Choosing to Sign on Paper
Sometimes, signers prefer to sign a document using pen on paper. The Sign on Paper feature allows signers to sign documents on paper.
You can select the Sign on Paper option by clicking Sign on paper in the signing introduction. Alternately, you can select Sign on Paper from the More options menu.

The actions you take depend on whether you will upload or fax the completed document.
Note: You can also decide to sign the documents electronically by clicking Back.
Faxing a Document
To fax a signed document:
Click Print and Fax. A new browser window opens with the document and fax cover sheet.
Print, fill out and signs the document. Then follow the instructions on the fax cover sheet to fax the document to DocuSign.
After the documents have been faxed, the recipient click Complete.
This completes the signing process. A message window stating that you have completed your documents is displayed. You have the option of viewing, downloading the document as a PDF file, and printing the document.
Uploading a Document
To upload a signed document:
Click Prefer to Upload the Document? A new browser window opens with the document.
Print, fill out and sign the document. Then scan the signed document and save it as a file on your computer.
Click Browse and select the file to upload.
Click Complete to upload the documents.
After the documents have been uploaded, the signing process is completed. A message window stating that you have completed your documents is displayed. You have the option of viewing, downloading the document as a PDF file, and printing the document.
